Privacy Policy

All About Movies (AllAboutMovies.xyz) is a free discovery service for movies, TV shows, and anime. We do not own the content you browse or watch. We are a search-and-discovery layer that points you toward information and external playback sources — we do not host, license, or distribute video files.

What we collect

If you create an account, your email address and authentication details are processed by Supabase so we can sign you in, protect your account, and save preferences such as your server order and playback settings. Without an account, the site stores only lightweight local preferences on your device. We do not ask for payment details, and the service does not require an account to browse or watch.

Third-party providers

The service depends on external providers, and we do not control their data practices:

• The Movie Database (TMDB) supplies movie, TV, and anime metadata such as titles, descriptions, ratings, genres, and artwork. TMDB is a community-built database; we request that data on your behalf so the site can display it.
• Supabase handles authentication and account data for signed-in users. Your login details and account-related preferences are processed by Supabase under its own privacy policy.
• Streaming providers are independent third-party services that host or link to video content. When you play something, you leave our site or interact with an embedded player operated by that provider. We do not own, host, or control those streams, and the content you watch is not ours.

Because playback redirects to or embeds external services, those providers may set their own cookies, collect their own usage data, and apply their own terms and regional restrictions. Review each provider's privacy notice before interacting with it. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or data practices of any third-party service.

Analytics

The site may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate visits and improve navigation. We treat analytics as informational only — we do not sell personal data, and we do not use account or playback data for advertising.

How long we keep data

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Account data is handled by Supabase under its own retention practices.

Your choices

You can browse and watch without an account. If you signed in, you can sign out or delete your account through the settings page, which stops further syncing of your preferences. Local device preferences can be cleared through your browser's storage settings.

Children

The service is not directed at children, and no account is required to use it. Because playback happens on external providers, parental supervision is a matter for those services, not for us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the service changes. The current version is always on this page.
